Working Model Anemometer

This working model shows the principle of wind velocity measurement.
Four plastic cups on arms are mounted on a smooth turning axle. The apparatus is sensitive to the slightest breeze, even as low as 2 mph; wind speed can be quantitatively determined by counting the rotations.
The hub rides on hard steel jewel bearings, and the base is 9 cm x 9 cm. You may use this model indoors with an electric fan.
