Students build working windmill models in this lab designed by curriculum mentor Bernie Zubrowski. Students start with the basics of building a working windmill. As they learn specific processes, they can apply them to their windmills to make them more efficient. Concepts include power, energy transformation, and rotational motion. This kit includes 10 sets and is time-flexible. Grades 5-8. Includes: stoppers, nails, cups, thread, dowels, T-pins, foam, assorted index cards, deli cups, paper clips, string, masking tape, steel rods, acrylic tubing, booklet, and instructions. A stapler and extension cords are not included but required for this lab.
