Students investigate the definition of volume, compare volume by measuring the contents of a vessel, and mathmatically calculate the volume and test the accuracy of measuring vessels. Developed by teacher Ed Leustek. The kit includes instructions, 5 PVC Cylinders, 10 Rulers, 10 Graduated Cups, 5 Graduated Cylinders, 5 Box Templates and reproducible student worksheets. Rice, gravel or other material to fill cylinders is required, but not included. Grades 4 and up.
