Appropriate for Grades 3-5 Learn How Verbs Work - Past, Present and Future Verbs at Work is a magnetic board game that teaches the various ways the verb is changed to express an action in the past, present, or future. The student is given a picture of an action, places it on their magnetic board and has to select the three sentences that describe the action in all three tenses. The sentences are written on magnetic strips. The magnetic board states "Yesterday", "Today", and "Tomorrow". The student places the three sentences on the correct tense. It contains examples of regular verbs (kick, kicks, kicked) and irregular verbs (sing, sang). It includes examples of common nouns (turtle), and the pronouns, I, we, you, he, she and they, and provides a tactile activity with resource pages for written and auditory learning. Verbs form a vital part of written and spoken language and are often called 'doing' words. Game includes: 5 magnetic boards, 10 magnetic action pictures, 30 magnetic self-correcting sentence strips, 10 magnetic verbs, and 40 printed resource sheets.
