The Unifix Phonics Small Group Set consists of 180 color-coded Unifix letter cubes and the book "Unifix Phonics Activities". Unifix Letter Cubes provide a hands-on learning experience for spelling and phonics instruction. The letter cubes are comprised of 60 red vowel cubes and120 blue consonant cubes. Color coding the cubes makes it easy to monitor the students' progress throughout the lesson.
This program utilizes small group configuration, which is ideal for educators to have contact with each student several times during a lesson. The 58-page book, written by Emily Larson-Rutter and Shelley Lapp, includes 8 different units designed with several hands-on learning activities in which students are able to manipulate objects in a meaningful way.
