Unifix Sentence Building Kit includes 60 word rods to use along with the book
"Sentence Sense". Effective writing starts with the sentence and this kit gives your students a great start in understanding simple sentence elements. It introduces the basic parts of speech and explains how they form the essential parts of simple sentences.
Teachers can supplement their comprehension activities with this multisensory kit that allows children to create sentences using color-coded Unifix Word Rods. As each color-coded rod is turned, the sentence takes on a whole new meaning while remaining gramatically-correct. This open-ended approach illustrates to children that they can "fill in the blanks" in a number of different ways.
The Unifix Sentence Building Kit includes 60 Unifix Word Rods in five colors (one for each part of speech), 12 full-color Sentence Theme Cards and "Sentence Sense" - a 60 page activity book with reproducible lessons and extension activities to further enhance the use of this kit.
