Ladybugs can be a beginning reader's best buddy when figuring out how two groups of insects--beetles and butterflies--differ. With this kit, students observe living ladybug larvae as they change from leggy worm look-alikes to familiar beetles.
Books in this kit allow emergent readers and those that are a bit more advanced to read about the stages in a ladybug's life cycle. Students can retell the ladybug's story using the life cycle model or practice their decoding and rhyming skills while playing a ladybug phonics game. Additional reading books sold separately.
