Prospecting Pick Hammers

Both of these heavy-duty prospecting hammers have tempered steel heads.
The True Temper® hammer head comes with a wooden handle and is used for hard (igneous and metamorphic) rocks; the all steel Estwing® chisel head has a vinyl grip and is used for soft (sedimentary) rocks.
Both tools also feature Estwing’s latest technical innovation – the “Shock Reduction Grip”. Field tested for a period of 2-years, this grip has been shown to reduce vibration from impact by 50%.
