Exploring Mummies fulfills many elementary and middle school science standards and allows students to investigate natural and controlled preservation. The project-based kit comes with four copies each of "Tut's Mummy Lost...and Found" by Judy Donnelly, "Secrets of the Mummies" by Harriet Griffey and "Ice Mummy" by Mark Dubowski.
Students will complete 8 modules over a 40-day period or longer, culminating in an activity in which they mummify an object for themselves. The kit includes a teacher's guide, reproducible student sheets, resources and references, and a glossary. Features 8 sequential, cross-curricular modules
