Rainforests...Across the Curriculum |
This cross-curricular kit uses a selection of quality children's literature about rain forests to teach English, language arts, reading, writing, art, math, science, and social studies. Based on the National Standards and designed by teachers, the materials in this kit illustrate the key components of rain forests, while allowing children to use this knowledge in other studies. Lessons are provided for individual study or work in cooperative groups.
Materials for a class of 25 students include the books, Nature's Green Umbrella, Life in the Rain Forest, The Most Beautiful Roof in the World; Guided Reading Comprehension Cubes, Retelling Cubes, a Rain Forest Wall Art poster, Rain Forest felt pieces and background, Rain Forest Card game, Rain Forest map transparency, and instructions with reproducible student pages.
