The Boreal Advanced Compound Microscope with Dual View Head is simple and easy to use. For viewing organisms or structures as small as bacteria, the extra magnification and resolving power of our Advanced SKope has long set the standard - and we've made it even better with significant improvements.
We've added a student-proof stop; recessed eyepiece set screw; brass on steel guide for smoother focusing; reinforced joint between head and eyetube; and a heavier, more stable base. This advanced instrument features an oil immersion 100x lens and Abbe condenser with a numerical aperture of 1.25 for outstanding resolution at 1000x magnification. The optics and mechanics of these microscopes offer a high-quality, yet affordable tool for the most demanding microscopy student. The dual-view head model allows for an easy check on student progress. Rechargeable LED illumination means that the Microscope can be used on its own away from any power source.
