What's a word family? Words with the same ending sounds make Word Families. With an initial consonant or blend they often make a word. On each of 94 word family cards you'll find a word family (also called a phonogram or rime), and a color-coded pronunciation key: Blue=short vowel sound, Green=long vowel sound, and Red=other vowel sound.
To make learning more fun, there are two activity/tip cards included with suggestions and ideas. A great way to introduce and teach new material or use for practice and review!
