Seasons at a Creek Student Study Kit |
Integrate science and language arts into activities inspired by Scott Russell Sanders’, Crawdad Creek, which observes a year in the life of a Midwestern woodland stream. Students create a map of Crawdad Creek, chart the types of animals and plants that live in the creek by season, examine the intricacies of a feather, and write their own wildlife guide as they learn about woodland environments, animal adaptations, and more.
Kit includes a set of six Pond Life Stamps with a crayfish, turtle, dragonfly and more organisms who make their life in ponds. Stamps are also available separately.
Developed by Rick Crosslin, this engaging educational kit works well for one on one instruction with a child, or an individual workstation, but can easily be adapted for the entire class. Includes instructions.
