United States Money Study Kit |
With this kit, each student gets a bag of money. It's not real, but it's still fun to use for lessons in identifying coins and bills, counting money, problem-solving (do I have enough money?), and making change. The kit includes: • Standards-based lesson plans for three different lessons. Each lesson includes journal prompts, to help evaluate students' understanding of the concept taught, and promote writing skills; • Coins and bills for use on the overhead projector; • Realistic-looking play money (all US coins, including half dollars and Sacajawea dollars, and US bills up to $100); • Reproducible student worksheets. The kit includes materials for a class of 25. All materials are provided in a sturdy, plastic storage bin.
Grades 1–4.
