Non-poisonous and non-aggressive, these garter snakes (Thamnophis sp.) are an interesting addition to your terrarium, and can be used to dispel students’ misconceptions about snakes.
Snakes like to eat live fish (67039-12 ) or pieces of earthworm 67001-01 ).
Includes: complete care and feeding instructions. (Please note: These specimens are sold only to schools and must be shipped by air.)
*Garter Snake Factoid: Garter snakes should be housed in an escape proof container such as a 10-15 gallon aquarium with a tight fitting wire mesh cover. A well drained terrarium is also a good environment as long as it too is escape proof.
