Composting is a topic of growing interest in schools throughout the country.
This is because composting is not only a way of reducing the amount of waste that needs to be disposed of every day, but also produces a product that is extremely useful.
In this environmentally conscious lab activity, students perform a series of investigative projects designed to create an efficient composting system.
Not only will this lab install in your students a sense of environmental stewardship, but it can also be used as a launch point for investigations into the interrelationships between biological, chemical and physical processes.
