Phonemic Awareness First Tutoring Kit |
Happychaps and skdoodles are imaginary characters used to playfully guide students through the fundamentals of reading in this multi-sensory kit. Unifix cunes with vowel sounds, consonants, phonetic symbols, and common letter combinations work together with the Happychaps picture book, picture sound fan, and teacher-student flip book to present a series of activities in word recognition and letter sounds. Using the set of manipulatives and books included, students learn how to identify and pronounce the 44 phenomes that make up over 90% of the English language. By the end of the program, students will be able to read thousands of words with the skills they gained. Designed for small groups, this multi-sensorykit includes step by step instructions and classroom suggstions to help teachers clearly explain and show how words are formed. The individual kit materials - Unifix cubes, books, and picture fan - are also available seperately.
