Food Pyramid Game, TDCT |
Each player gets their own game board which has the food pyramid. The board has the names of the food group (grain, fruit, meat, etc.) and pictures of foods that are representative of each food group. They spin a spinner to determine the color of the food tile they can select from the draw pile. They pick up a food tile and place it on the correct part of the food pryamid. The first player to get all of their food groups filled is the winner.
Skills include matching colors, simple counting, learning the food groups, and identifying the food groups specific foods belong to. Words are printed on the boards and food tiles, but reading is optional.
Includes 25 game boards, five spinners, five food tiles, and instructions. Developed by Laurie Smith. Grades K–3.
