With this kit students study star charts, then punch pin-holes in strips of paper to form constellations. By moving a strip through the viewfinder, students can view constellation groups or the changing position of a single constellation throughout the year. Students also design their own constellations from patterns, and write stories about them. Developed by teacher Kenneth Carlson. Includes: materials for 30 trackers, including a hole punch, T pins, rubber bands, black construction paper, glue, tracing paper, cardboard tubes, X-acto knife, a pad of northern skies star charts and complete instructions. You will need to provide scissors.
