The easy-to-care-for giant hissing cockroach (Gromphadorina sp.) can grow as long as 8 cm. When threatened, this flightless insect emits a hissing sound that it generates by forcibly expelling air through its spiracles. The cockroach habitat provides a safe environment for raising these specimens.
