Flame Spectroscopy Dropper Kit (Teacher-Developed, Classroom-Tested) |
Combine the bright colors of flame testing, the analytical skills of spectroscopy, and the safety and ease of self-contained dropper systems and you have this time-saving kit. Using our unique self-contained droppers that eliminate the need for hazardous hydrochloric acid, students will flame test and observe the characteristic colors of known solutions. They will also test to determine the metals in unknown solutions and will use spectroscopes to analyze bright line spectra.
The entire lab can be completed in 40 minutes. Developed by chemistry teachers Ron Tempest and Nabil Haddad. Includes teacher’s guide with instructions. Grades 9–12.
