Basic words are made up of onsets (beginnings) and rimes (endings). These patterns are common to many words which contain the same letters and make the same sound (ball, call, fall, hall, etc.). The game Chunks includes the most commonly found onsets and rimes and provides a fun way to discover and remember these patterns.
Players randomly select tiles and try to form words using two tiles, one onset and one rime. As a player creates a word, he places the word in front of him and continues to select new tiles. When all the tiles are gone the game is over; the winner is the player who has made the most words.
Game includes: 72 yellow tiles (onsets) and 72 green tiles (rimes) and instructions.
