This delightful kit engages the whole class in an activity that blends the science of fungi with a lesson in responsibility while exercising students’ observation skills. Housed in a clear, reusable domed cylinder, students watch in amazement as a “forest” of Enokitake mushrooms burst to life. The garden arrives ready to grow. Twice a day students water the medium using a spray bottle. Within 2 weeks the first ‘shrooms appear and quickly grow to 6-8 inches. We got two full crops out of ours, plus a bonus crop of white mold! How cool is that! Dome measures 24 cm x 15 cm. Includes: Enokitake mycosphere with medium, instruction booklet, watering calendar.
