This kit comes with all the materials students will need to build an ancient Roman arch using "stone" blocks they mold themselves, a modern "steel" truss composed of only a few plastic I-beams and gussets, and a slender, graceful suspension bridge over a yard long.
Students learn how different materials effect bridge strength. Projects promote not just geometry, physics, technology, math, and general science, but history, teamwork, and aesthetics as well.
