Using games to teach and reinforce basic skills is a highly effective way to motivate students to learn. Players develop an interest in earning and saving money and making purchases. The game is open-ended and may conclude when one player runs out of money, when one player has $20.00 or more, or when one player has moved his or her marker completely around the board. The beauty of this game - you decide!
Allowance uses cards that offer tasks such as mowing the lawn or cleaning the garage as ways to earn money; and cards that "invoice you" such as "Pay $2.00 for a hamburger". Choices must be made, as in real life, whether to spend money or put it into savings. A great way for children to learn money management skills!
Contents include: Game board, currency, coins, 6 markers, Take-a-Chance Cards, and instructions. For 2-6 players.
