Across the Curriculum with Jan Brett |
Invite children to use popular stories of Jan Brett in cross-curricular applications. The contents of this kit include lessons that implement the included Jan Brett books - Daisy Comes Home, The Hat, and Annie and the Wild Animals - to teach English, language arts, reading, writing, art, math, science, and social studies. These lessons can be completed in the order presented or rearranged to best fit your curriculum.
Based on the National Standards and designed by teachers, the activities in this kit will excite students about learning individually or in cooperative groups. Materials for a class of 25 students are included: 3 Jan Brett books, Story Elements Glove, Retelling Cubes, Beach Ball Globe, Super Citizen Cards, and Weather Stamps, and instructions with reproducible student pages.
